Details about the Global Wisdom System Handbook
The Global Wisdom System Handbook is a work in progress, but already, it is not like any book you have ever read. For one thing, it's impossible to read it from beginning to end—and not just because of it's length, which is currently over 2400 pages long in MS Word.
Here's how you'll read it. First, you'll review a page of options, and select the one that resonates with you or that is most relevant to you in your life.
This paragraph contains a page number. When you turn to this new page, it provides you with another set of options. After several choices, you will be led to either an exercise or meditation—one that fits your needs exactly.
After every exercise is a section called "What's Next?" This section links you to other exercises and options categories to take the next step. It also links to the ingredients that were used in the exercise that you just completed. These ingredients links lead you to the topical chapters of the book.
For a graphic representation of the choices that someone with a broken heart might make, click this thumbnail (or navigate to https://www.joyfulwisdom.org/archive/GWSVision/UserMeditationChoices.htm ). This representation is simplified, but it provides a flavor of how this user-directed training manual works.
Notice that rows 1, 2, and 3 are lists of options. Row 4 is a list of meditations and exercise. Row 5 is the What's Next section, which includes both exercises and options lists.
The final document will be a work in progress which is owned and evolved by the Global Wisdom System organization. The direction and evolution of this final document will be managed by members and by member organizations. Meditations and Exercises: The Global Wisdom System is the working title of my life's work, a collection of over 300 methods from every wisdom source that I could find, applied to every aspect of life. For example, I will be sharing approximately 6.7 percent of the methods in the Global Wisdom System in the on-going online Chrysalis Wisdom Council groups and in the Energy Healing Course that I will be teaching in 2007. (Dates yet to be determined.)
The curriculum is described on the Web page Course in Energy Healing Available World-Wide By Webcam. I'm presenting both groups as fund raisers for IONS. Although this course curriculum does not demonstrate the range of meditations and exercises available, it describes the sophistication and scope within the healing chapter.
My first priority in writing this training program was to complete the exercises and meditations, and my standards for doing so are very high. At least 95 percent of the exercises were not originally my creation, but were inspired by modern or traditional sources of wisdom or inspiration from around the world.
However, I cannot include any exercise in the system with integrity until I make it my own. My criteria for making it my own include: I must be able to use it again and again and always get value from it, no matter how old-hat the practice is for me.
The requires me to test many of the exercises and meditations over a period of months. Since there are over 300 methods and meditations, my standards for completing the project sometimes seem draconian.
The Ingredients that Make Up the Exercises: Each of the chapters in the Global Wisdom System Handbook is an ingredient that is common to a variety exercises. During the editing, rewriting, and writing process, I have published excerpts as blogs on the IONS Shift in Action site (SIA).
For instance, Chapter 1 is entitled "Wisdom Skill #1: Use Inner Silence to Enhance Every Aspect of Your Life." The following two SIA blogs contains paragraphs that I've inserted into this chapter:

You're Invited to Participate in a Demonstration of Short-Term Inner Silence. Part of the first section of the inner silence chapter, this SIA blog reviews the many ways that inner silence is used by different spiritual traditions and links that to the variety of ways that we experience inner silence in our daily lives. |

Harness Memories of Centered Inner Silence, and Reuse Them. Part of the second section of this chapter, this blog provides a method for using trigger words to invoke inner silence in daily life. |

The Chrysalis Wisdom Council, which illustrates the power short-term inner silence, is a core practice of the Global Wisdom System. I'm regularly teaching and operating around the world by Webcam. |
Chapter 2 is entitled Wisdom Skill #2: Nonattachment, Acceptance, and Cherishing All That Happens. I wrote the following three SIA blogs while developing parts of it. However, only two of them have actually contributed paragraphs to this chapter.

Paradox Is a Door to Deeper Understanding. Part of the first section of this chapter. |

The Make-Wrongs that Masquerade as Nonattachment. Part of the third section of chapter. |

My New Year's Intention is a Resolution of Inner Conflict. Not part of the chapter. |
